XENIA, Ohio - All Wright drove the lane early in the second half on Monday afternoon and the Valparaiso freshman had his shot blocked into another court at the Wooden Family Fieldhouse.
Wright was knocked to the ground on the shot attempt and when Devon Ellis came over to help up his teammate, the Valparaiso junior slipped and landed directly on top of Wright leaving both players writhing in pain.
It was the perfect microcosm for Valparaiso’s season opener.
