FB: Mansaray ready to build on successful Valparaiso debut

There’s no question that Valparaiso has had recent success when it comes to finding running backs in the transfer portal.

Robert Washington (Old Dominion) and Aaron Dawson (Central Connecticut State) earned All-Conference honors in the Pioneer Football League in back-to-back years. Jashon Butler (Arizona) ended up shining as a return specialist and he was also honored by the PFL.

With a slight exception in the case of Washington who played in abbreviated spring season in 2021 and then a full fall campaign, each of the three transfers only spent one year in residency at Valparaiso and then they were gone.

That’s not the case with Valparaiso’s current running back, former South Dakota running back Michael Mansaray.
