Blood, Sweat & Teeth: Valpo lays it all on the line in Arch Madness loss
MBB: Bradley edges Valparaiso in double overtime to knock out Beacons for second straight season
ST. LOUIS - For nearly 50 minutes on Friday night it appeared the Valparaiso men’s basketball team was finally going to exercise one of its Missouri Valley Conference demons.
Down late in regulation, the Beacons rallied to force overtime and were one stop away from knocking off No. 2 Bradley in the Arch Madness quarterfinals. Alex Huibregtse forced a second overtime with a 3-pointer and the Braves made enough plays down the stretch to escape with a 90-84 double overtime win over No. 7 Valparaiso at the Enterprise Center.
The game marked the third time in the last six years Bradley has eliminated Valparaiso from Arch Madness.
