Ashley Trippeer is Valparaiso’s leading returner with 1,353 minutes played last year.

There’s being thrown into the fire and then there’s experiencing what Ashley Trippeer went through as a freshman last season.

The Valparaiso defender started 16 of 18 matches and logged 1,353 minutes in her first year of collegiate soccer. Not only is she Valpo’s leading returner for minutes played last season, but she trails just senior Molly O’Rear (3,579) and junior Daisy Boardman (1,988) for career minutes in a Valpo uniform and she’s only going into her sophomore campaign.

Armed with a year of experience under her belt, Trippeer is eager to move forward as she looks to anchor a defensive backline that has been depleted by graduation and transfer.
