Wright latest to join Valparaiso

MBB: Roster shuffling nearly complete as another Link Prep product joins the Beacons

The transfer portal closed on Wednesday night and things appeared to turn out alright for the Valparaiso men’s basketball team.

Actually, they turned out All Wright.

Wright, a 6-foot-3, 171 pound point guard from Link Prep Academy committed to Valparaiso on Wednesday afternoon while on his official visit. Wright was linked to Southern Illinois before the school made a coaching change. Others schools in the mix throughout his recruitment were Utah State, UAB and Kent State.

In the end, Wright felt comfortable at Valparaiso and is eager to make an immediate impact.
