Whirlwind recruiting journey ends with Brown at Valpo
MBB: Snow College point guard commits to Valparaiso after Powell visit
Mark Brown Jr. had a whirlwind of a recruiting journey last week.
The Snow College point guard - ranked No. 61 in the country according to JUCORecruiting.com - picked up a litany of offers last Sunday, including one from Valparaiso.
After weighing his options, the South Phoenix native verbally committed to Omaha last Wednesday. Those plans went up in smoke two days later when Omaha assistant Warren Niles left the program for the same position at Drake. That’s when Roger Powell Jr. flew into action.
Literally.
