Waddle bringing fight to Valparaiso

FB: Former Marietta coach introduced as 19th coach in program history on Wednesday

Andy Waddle is a man with a plan.

Valparaiso’s newest head football coach arrived to campus on Wednesday morning with a checklist he put together in his daughter Hopelyn’s notebook.

His checklist included reasons why he wanted to come to Valparaiso and reasons why he believes he’ll be successful at a program which has experienced little success in the 21st century.

“I think about my checklist and I was looking at the place that I wanted to be the head football coach at; it wouldn’t be any place,” Waddle said. “It needed to be the right place.”

Waddle believes he’s found the right place in Valparaiso University, and Valparaiso’s administration believes it’s found the right guy in Waddle.
