SOC: Beacons kick off 2023-24 athletic year with exhibition opener

VALPARAISO - When Molly O’Rear returned home to Naperville following her freshman year with the Valparaiso soccer team, the now-sophomore midfielder did a little redecorating.

Call it a vision board or just call it words to live by, but O’Rear made sure every time she looked at her walls, she found inspiration.

“I had a thing up in my room that said ‘Next Step, Next Level,’” O’Rear said. “That’s what I’ve been focusing on.”
