Big weekend for Beacons as quartet of teams taste success

Valparaiso’s Victory Bell may still very well be ringing.

The Beacons had one of their best weekends in recent memory as a quartet of teams tasted victory.

The weekend started on Friday night with volleyball sweeping Murray State before coming back on Saturday and finishing off Belmont in five sets. Football completed a second-half comeback against Presbyterian on Saturday and women’s soccer gained a measure of revenge over Evansville on Sunday. Perhaps sweetest of all was women’s tennis freshman Moira Silva capturing a Missouri Valley Conference title on Sunday to cap off the weekend.
