Wonderful article. I wasn’t sure how this season was going to go with all the new guys…. but this has really been an exciting season. We are on the right track, thanks to Roger Powell, Jr and staff. The best is yet to come!
Like the University in general, VU's MBB program has been in dire need of wins, literally and figuratively. That it may be at this turning point appears to be coinciding with a much-needed change in VU's fortunes overall. The common denominator may well be leadership that eagerly undertakes the challenges because of the worthiness of the enterprise: first with Coach Powell taking on the task of rebuilding this program, and now with President Konkol assuming the mantle of the University. May we someday look back at this spring as the beginning of VU's revival.
Such a season of exceeding expectations…and with nearly all new players! These men are a revelation—and Coach Powell is a wizard! Time for a deep run in Arch Madness!
