VALPARAISO - Every player that stepped on the court made big contributions for the Valparaiso volleyball team on Saturday night.
Perhaps none more than Olivia Blackketter.
Playing their third game in two days, the Beacons had to claw back several times against Oakland in the de facto title game of the Popcorn Classic. Every time Valpo needed a big play, Blackketter was in the mix.
The former Winthrop transfer had seven kills and three blocks as the Beacons swept Oakland 25-17, 25-22, 25-22 at the Athletics-Recreation Center.
