Christmas comes early for Landon Fox and the Beacons

A dozen Valparaiso football players are submerged in ice baths on the Brown Field sideline while another dozen wait their turn in the hot August sun.

Standing 20 yards away is fourth-year coach Landon Fox, surveying the scene wondering how all these players sitting together in ice are going to play together when the Beacons kick off the 2022 football season against Indiana Wesleyan on Sept. 3.
