VALPARAISO - Roger Powell Jr. has preached all season that he wants the Valparaiso men’s basketball team to play “fun, fast and free.”

The Beacons moved away from that philosophy in the final four minutes of Saturday’s nonconference game against Chicago State at the Athletics-Recreation Center and it cost them dearly.
