WBB: Big plays down the stretch cap off Valpo's win over UIC on Thursday night

VALPARAISO - There was simply no way the Valparaiso women’s basketball team was going to lose on Thursday night.

Not after what happened Sunday.

Much like last Sunday’s game against Murray State, the Beacons jumped out to a large lead in the first quarter. Unlike the game against the Racers, Valparaiso closed the door on Thursday to the tune of a 60-51 win over UIC at the Athletics-Recreation Center.

Every player that stepped on the floor for the short-handed Beacons contributed to the win on Thursday.
