Thomas bringing maturity to crowded running back group
FB: Schweitzer leading eclectic room as first female position coach in PFL History
Brian Thomas learned a lot of lessons in his first season of college football.
The sophomore running back was one of just five Valparaiso true freshmen that played enough last year not to redshirt. Thomas was one of three true freshmen that took the field in all 11 games.
The Florida native carried the ball 43 times for 143 yards and added another six catches for 29 yards and a touchdown. He made it through the season relatively unscathed and now he’s back for his sophomore season.
He’s bringing a maturity to his role this season that is wise beyond his years and he’s bringing a focus that will be much needed in a crowded position group.
