If you’re looking for the perfect embodiment of the All-American kid, Mason Bonn is cut straight out of central casting.

Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, Bonn missed just one question on the SAT, scoring a near-perfect 1590, before getting admitted to an Ivy. While other kids hit the bars or the beach on the weekends, Bonn hits the books, and not just for school. He loves reading and, in his spare time, he runs a charity golf tournament that has raised over $20,000 for multiple sclerosis research.

He’s the son you’d love to have and the charmer you hope your child brings home for the holidays.

So what drove Bonn to commit an act of sheer stupidity on July 5, 2023 that would be viewed as tragically idiotic if it weren’t so endearingly comical?

How did this singular act change his focus? Not just on golf, but on life?

Who better to explain than Bonn himself?
