SOC: Beacons hold intrasquad scrimmage as 2024 season approaches

It was 90 degrees in Valparaiso earlier this week and it may very well be in the 90s again before the summer is through.

That wasn’t the case on Tuesday night as there was a bite in the air during a picturesque evening at Brown Field, reminding all that the 2024 Valparaiso soccer season is just around the corner.

The Beacons took the pitch on Tuesday night for an intrasquad scrimmage that served as something of a gameday rehearsal. Experienced upperclassmen continued to round themselves into form for the start of a long season while eager freshmen got the chance to play under the lights for the first time on their new home field.
