Bob Modesto is always looking for motivation.

The Valparaiso tennis coach found some on Sunday and then he passed that motivation down to his doubles combo of Sydney Stone and Lacey Tanner.

What resulted was a Flight 2 Doubles Championship at last weekend’s Missouri Valley Conference Championships in Chicago.

Stone and Tanner won Valpo’s fifth tennis title since joining the Valley in 2017.
