There has been one constant in the Valparaiso men’s basketball program over the last 30 years.
It hasn’t been the Drew Family or Luke Gore. It hasn’t been conference affiliation or the mascot name. It hasn’t even been the dim lighting of the Athletics-Recreation Center (the old lights got changed out this summer!).
The one constant has been Valparaiso’s success in recruiting internationally.
Dating back to the first time Scott Drew went overseas and brought back Antanas Vilcinskas from Lithuania in 1995, Valparaiso has become a destination for players from all over the world.
From countries such as Croatia, Finland, Senegal and Latvia, Valparaiso’s recruiting efforts have known no bounds.
Add Estonia to the list.
