It’s funny how quickly time passes in collegiate athletics.

It seems like only yesterday the Valparaiso women’s soccer program had won championships in back-to-back years. The Beacons won the 2022 Missouri Valley Conference regular season before coming back the following season and winning the 2023 Valley tournament.

The latter title brought with it a trip to the NCAA tournament. In the two seasons that have passed, not only the Beacons come up short of their goal in getting to the Big Dance, but they’ve failed even to qualify for the Missouri Valley Conference tournament since that magical run in 2023.

This year’s seniors - a mix of three true seniors and four redshirt juniors, are the last link to those championship teams, and they’re aiming to bring that pedigree back this season.
