MBB: Former football player earns scholarship with men's basketball team

Anthony Sciarroni was ready to start going through the scouting report on Evansville when the Valparaiso men’s basketball player was called to the front of the room on Tuesday afternoon.

Valparaiso coach Roger Powell Jr. was going through a Bible verse during “Team Time” on Tuesday when he called on the former football player who is now serving as a walk-on for the basketball team.
