Roger Powell Jr. joined legendary Valparaiso coach Homer Drew in getting ejected during a game at Evansville on Sunday. Drew was ejected in Evansville 19 years ago, his first ejection in 37 years of coaching.

Roger Powell Jr. joined legendary Valparaiso men’s basketball coach Homer Drew in some dubious company on Sunday night.

Powell was ejected late in the second half of Valparaiso’s 79-69 loss to Evansville on Sunday after he began arguing for a foul following contact that knocked All Wright to the floor.

Drew was also ejected at Evansville during a 69-64 loss on Dec. 5, 2006. Drew nearly got ejected in a 77-69 loss at Evansville on Dec. 11, 1993 when he ran on the floor toward the end of the game.
