Pitts finds her new "why"

Fifth-year senior balancing motherhood, school and being a Division I athlete

“I’m not done.”

These three simple words have become a rallying cry for Valparaiso women’s basketball player Ilysse Pitts. The fifth-year senior could have easily walked away from the game for a myriad of reasons following the 2021-22 season and no one would’ve blamed her.

Pitts felt something pulling her back to the court.
