NORMAL - The final whistle blew on the 2026 season for the Valparaiso women’s soccer team and the players were frozen in time.
Alex Arnold stared into the distance with her hands on her hips on the north end of Adelaide Street Field. Lily Printz and Daisy Boardman were rooted near midfield, almost as if their legs wouldn’t allow them to move from the pitch.
Finally, Martha Goddard took one last look at the goal on the south side of the field before turning away and collapsing to her knees.
