DETROIT - Kate Sheridan didn’t panic when the Valparaiso soccer team gave up a goal just four minutes into the 2025 campaign on Thursday night.

She knew there was a lot of match left to be played.

The Valparaiso senior also isn’t going to panic about the Beacons falling 2-1 to Detroit due to a late penalty kick in the season opener.

Sheridan knows there are a lot of matches to be played.
