Shortly before this story was set to go to press, Valparaiso University interim athletic director Laurel Hosmer announced that softball coach Meaggan Pettipiece had resigned. Assistant coach Laney Jones will serve as the interim head coach for the remainder of the season and a national search for the program’s next head coach will begin at the end of the season.
