MBB: Valparaiso drops second home game of the year in loss to Drake

VALPARAISO - Roger Powell Jr. isn’t used to losing at the Athletics-Recreation Center.

The first-year Valparaiso men’s basketball coach won 85 percent of his games at the ARC when he was an assistant from 2011-16. In his final two years with the program, Valparaiso went 32-2 at home.

So it stands to reason that Powell was a bit frustrated on Wednesday night after the Beacons dropped their second home game of the young season, falling 83-65 to Drake.
