The Victory Bell didn’t have any coverage of last Saturday’s 17-5 loss at Morehead State. It was the first game I didn’t attend this season and special circumstances dictated that I wasn’t able to cover the game. In short, I was in Milwaukee for a funeral. I listened to Todd Ickow and Brandon Vickrey’s broadcast of the game and came away from the weekend with more questions than answers.

The lack of coverage of the game had nothing to do with the outcome of the game or the questions that arose during the game. No one dodged any questions in the aftermath and it was my decision to not conduct postgame interviews as I was otherwise unavailable.

I also knew I’d have the opportunity to sit down with Valparaiso football coach Landon Fox during our weekly interview slot on Wednesday morning. Here’s what Fox had to say in the latest edition of Four Downs as the Beacons close the door on Morehead State and shift focus to the upcoming Homecoming tilt against Drake this Saturday at Brown Field.
