Four Downs with Kohlton Sherman
FB: Valparaiso safety sits down with The Victory Bell ahead of final collegiate game
The harsh reality for Kohlton Sherman is that regardless of what happens on Brown Field on Saturday afternoon, the Valparaiso fifth-year senior will be playing his final collegiate football game.
The excitement for Sherman is that so much could happen at Brown Field as Valparaiso takes on Drake in the 2022 regular-season finale. A win would give the Beacons a winning record in the fall for just the second time in the last 19 years. The safety also has a streak of four straight games with an interception. Sherman is currently tied for the Pioneer Football League lead with four picks. His 95-yard pick-six last week at Marist set the school record for longest interception return in school history.
Sherman, along with 23 of his other teammates, will be honored as part of Saturday’s Senior Day celebration. Ahead of his final collegiate game, Sherman sat down with The Victory Bell for Four Downs.
