SOC: Sheridan leads a trio of goalkeepers anxious for a chance to succeed Coryell

There’s no question that Nikki Coryell will go down as one of the greatest athletes in the history of Valparaiso University.

She was the three-time Missouri Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Year, the Valley tournament Most Valuable Player in 2023 and Coryell’s name is littered throughout Valpo’s record books.

Now the Beacons have to replace her.

Fortunately for longtime Valparaiso coach John Marovich, he has a trio of options that might make this transition a bit more seamless than outsiders think.
