The Victory Bell will have full coverage of Valparaiso’s game at Youngstown State available to paid subscribers on Monday morning at TheVictoryBell.com.

YOUNGSTOWN - Valparaiso might not have won a football game on Saturday afternoon, but the Beacons may have found a new offensive playmaker.

Caron Tyler entered Saturday’s game against No. 25 Youngstown State late in the first quarter and led three consecutive scoring drives. The redshirt freshman connected with Gary Givens III for a 39-yard touchdown before adding a pair of touchdown runs.

The Beacons (0-2) dropped their second straight road contest against a scholarship FCS opponent. Valparaiso will return to action on Saturday night at Brown Field against Indiana Wesleyan.

Here are five takeaways from Valparaiso’s meeting with Youngstown State.
