LEXINGTON - The misses came early and the misses came often for the Valparaiso men’s basketball team on Friday night.

The misses hardly ever came for Kentucky.

The Beacons shot just 4-20 from the 3-point line in the first half as No. 9 Kentucky raced out to a double-digit lead less than three minutes into the game. The Wildcats continued to pour it on to the tune of a 32-point halftime lead and a 107-59 victory.

Kentucky shot 64.7 percent in the first half and 54.4 percent for the game. Valparaiso was limited to just 28.4 percent from the floor and 23.5 percent from the 3-point line.
