Five storylines from Ohio State's 95-73 win over Valparaiso
MBB: Diebler victorious in meeting against his alma mater
COLUMBUS - Jake Diebler was beloved during his Valparaiso playing career because he made a living on making the hustle plays.
Micah Parrish embodied that philosophy late in the first half when the Ohio State fifth-year senior stole an inbound pass, laid the ball in and drew a foul. Parrish, a one-time Oakland guard, helped boost the Buckeyes to an 11-point halftime lead when it looked as if the Beacons would have a chance to go into the locker room within one possession just moments earlier.
Ohio State continued to roll in the second half, scoring 54 points after the break and pulling away for a 95-73 victory at Value City Arena.
