Tennis: Claire and Olivia looking to build on last fall's doubles championship as Valley play begins this weekend

When Claire and Olivia Czerwonka captured the Missouri Valley Conference Flight 1 doubles championship last fall, it marked an improbable achievement for two of the most decorated tennis players to ever step foot on Valparaiso’s campus.

The Wisconsin natives knocked off Illinois State’s top-seeded doubles team at the Valpo Tennis Complex on Oct. 10. Elation continued later in the day as Olivia captured the Flight 2 Singles championship, becoming the first Valpo athlete in nearly 10 years to win two individual conference titles on the same day.
