This has been the strangest Valparaiso women’s basketball season that I’ve ever seen.

Seen. That’s not actually a word that applies to my experience with the team this year.

The Beacons have played 12 regular-season games during the 2023-24 season, including just two at home. Of those two, I attended one of them. It was 34 days ago and it was the last time the women’s basketball team played a game at the Athletics-Recreation Center.

It was also Valpo’s only regular-season win of the year. I also saw the Beacons knock off IU-Northwest in an exhibition game two days earlier. The program has taken the court 13 times this season and they have two wins. I’ve never seen the team lose. Am I good luck?
