Tatum Coleman swears she wasn’t even trying to take a shot.

With time ticking down and her FC Pride club clinging to a 1-0 lead late in Sunday’s WPSL quarterfinal match against Union KC, the Valparaiso sophomore took what she intended to be a cross from the far side of the field. It just so happened to find the back of the net.

Coleman’s tally was a much-needed insurance tally as FC Pride eventually held on for a 2-1 victory and will advance to the WPSL semifinals on Friday night in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
