Boyd Ball has arrived to Valparaiso

WBB: Valpo coach eager to get on the court and fill out her roster (and staff) after first day on the job

VALPARAISO - The clock overlooking the basketball court in Hilltop Gym was running 90 minutes slow on Monday morning.

Had Courtney Boyd caught a glimpse of the time, it would’ve been excruciating for the Valparaiso women’s basketball coach as she was counting down the minutes she could get on the court with her new team.

Boyd had the chance to meet the roster in several Zoom sessions during the week and a half since taking the job on Apr. 4, but Monday afternoon represented her first opportunity to see the team play in person.

The former Quincy coach politely handled all her media responsibilities on Monday morning, but it was clear she was itching to get to the afternoon.
