MBB: Valpo officially releases roster for upcoming season, will hold at 12 scholarship players

Unless there is a drastic change in thinking from first-year head coach Roger Powell, the 2023-24 Valparaiso men’s basketball roster has been set at 12 scholarship players.

The school officially released the roster on Monday evening and it will mark the first time since the 2019-20 season that Valpo doesn’t carry a full allotment of scholarship players. This gives Powell the flexibility to add a player at the semester break, or he could hold the scholarship for next season.

“I think we’re in a great place right now,” Powell said.
