Valparaiso drops pair of games as women fall at Wisconsin while men have three-game winning streak snapped at Northern Iowa

MADISON - Ilysse Pitts knows she only has a handful of college basketball games left in her career and the Valparaiso fifth-year senior doesn’t want to waste a single second.

Leah Earnest felt like she was playing a home game at the Kohl Center on Wednesday night despite the fact the Valparaiso junior was wearing brown and gold and not Wisconsin’s familiar red and white.

The result of Valparaiso’s final nonconference game of the season mattered little on Wednesday. Sure, the Beacons would’ve preferred not to fall 59-44 to Wisconsin, but both Pitts and Earnest were able to take away positive experiences.
