SB: MSU Moorhead coach looks to bring stability to Valparaiso softball program

Mike Armitage has heard from all the naysayers.

He’s well aware the once-proud Valparaiso softball program has fallen on hard times. From making three trips to the NCAA tournament in a five-year period to now going on five head coaches in five years, there’s no question that stability is sorely needed.

Armitage feels like he can be the one up to the task.

The Minnesota State Moorhead head coach and former Illinois State assistant was announced as Valparaiso’s 18th coach in program history last week.
