The last 12 months have sure featured a lot of change around Valparaiso athletics.
From a new athletic director to several new coaches as well as large classes of newcomers on nearly every team across campus, it certainly felt like life around the Athletics-Recreation Center was always on the move in 2024.
It’s nice to take a break every now and then and look back at some of the great memories that were made along the way. I’ve spent the last several days out of the country (hence no coverage of the women’s basketball team knocking off Southern Illinois or the men’s team falling in double overtime at Bradley) recharging my batteries and thinking back on the last year.
I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to chronicle many of these moments over the last 12 months at The Victory Bell. I published 189 articles on the site during 2024, averaging one every other day for the entire year.
As always, I’m forever grateful for your support. The site is able to operate, and I’m able to continue covering Valparaiso athletics, because of the readers who have decided that local journalism is still worth something. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Now, as we get ready to countdown to the start of 2025, let’s take one more look back at the year that was in 2024 through the eyes of The Victory Bell. Enjoy the memories.
